The son's duty to his Father is to make the world ask
"By what austerities did he merit such a son?"
-Thirukkural
On this Father's Day , I promise you Dad that one day I ll make the above saying true.
First of all, I lament for not wishing my Dad on the first note. Thanks to SUN TV , for letting me know about the day. We youngsters have prioritizing issues. We would sacrifice the whole night's sleep and wait to wish the "All of a sudden" stranger turned girl/boy friend. But when it comes to our Parents, we totally forget. How ironical!!
"OPPOSITE CHARGES ATTRACT EACH OTHER" . Maybe this is also true in case of Parent-Children relationship. Its quite natural that guys are more affectionate towards their Mother and girls towards their Father. I aint an exceptional case to this law. I haven't been more expressive to my Dad . Moreover he is not a strict, rough & tough kind of person. My cousin brothers do share a lots with my Dad than I do. Such a lovable friend he is. I was searching for a picture for this blog which made me to realise later that, I dont even have a single picture of myself with my Dad . Seriously , I hated me like anything for that. Sorry Naina (This is how I call my daddy) :(
This one is for you.
My Father, Mr.Perumalsamy the youngest living son of Mr&Mrs.Perumal Naidu @ Solaipatti, thirumangalam. I am proud to claim that I belong to the Royal Naataamai (Godfather of the whole vilage) family. And, believe me , even today if we go there the respect and love that we receive there make me feel goosebumps. "Oru Vikraman movie paatha maathiri!!" . My grandpa, despite of his unstable income made all his children to attain proper education. All credits should be attributed to my Grandma for this. My Dad got his Bachelors Degree in Commerce from the Virudhunagar Hindu Nadar College.
Before marriage, he worked in Dharani Sugars in Tirunelveli. Then, he joined Soundararaja Mills as an accountant and worked for almost 15 years. If you ask me I'll say, He was underrated there. At Present , he is working as Admin Head @ IPAC boards.
I have admired about Him in lots of things and the best thing I like about Him is his witty nature and spontanious sense of humor . The way he narrated about how he along with his friends used to run around the ground before sunday special lunch is still an epic to me . He can easily make anyone to laugh. He still mocks about my paunch with a mere hope that I will atleast take some steps to get lean. But , ME ?? Never!!!
And another thing which he has got a lot is his dedication to his work and loyalty to his employer. I envy on his administrative skills a lot . To him, nothing is impossible, unlike me. He is so good at forecasting the future. My cousins, whenever they come home for vacation, never fail to meet my Dad for discussing about their future plans. He is more of a friend, to all.
All through my life , he has been very supportive to me. I barely remember, the day when I got beaten by Him. Even If I say , he has never beaten me , that won't be an exaggeration. Whenever , I fail in my tasks , he never ever uttered a single word that would hurt me . Instead , he keeps on boosting my confidence level. He says just one thing ! "GIVE YOUR BEST! COME,WHATEVER RESULTS IT MAYBE!"
He never denied anything I had asked . If I ask Him money means, the next moment He'll say "naalaiku transfer panniduren kannu!! 1500 pothum la?" He doesn't have copious money to give whenever I ask. But, still somehow he makes it possible. I feel bad for spending lavishly. Sorry Naina , I will try to change myself. He funnily complains that I talk to him only for money. Its not like that naina, the reason is again, "OPPOSITE CHARGES ATTRACT EACH OTHER".
There are lots and lots of things which made him to be my"ALL TIME FAVOURITE STAR"
and this one blog is not enough to put in everything.
People say that we are the creations of God. I am not a big believer in God. But , I accept this fact that we are God's creations . Yes, my parents are my God.
Love you Dad .
P.S. I thank everyone who read my first blog . Your valuable comments are duly noted and I will try my best to improvise in the upcoming posts. And I have given lots of sentimental stuffs in the first two blogs. So , my next one will be filled with fun. Cheers :)
